WAKABAYASHI, Lily Chieko (nee Yamamoto) –
Passed away at The Village On The Ridge, Ridgetown, Ontario on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, Lily, formerly of Burlington, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of 52 years and best friend of the late Robert (Bob) Wakabayashi. Much loved mom of twin daughters Lisa Wakabayashi and husband Brian Foerster, and Marsha Wakabayashi and wife Vicki Gough. Cherished Grandma of Stacey Foerster, Aaron Foerster (Stephanie Robertson), Marisa Wakabayashi and Cal Gough (Tara) and great-grandma of Hazel, Ella, Kayla, and Mackenzie. Predeceased by her sister Keiko Yamamoto (Minoru) in Japan. Predeceased by her parents Tsunekichi and Chiyo Yamamoto. Lily was a dedicated volunteer for 37 years with Maple Villa Long Term Care, Burlington. She was also a long standing member of the Knitters Group at Joseph Brant Hospital and loved to crochet baby blankets for the newborn babies. A Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation or the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to sincerely thank Dr. Farah Anees and all the staff at The Village for their compassion and care.
