Pickfield, Joan Elinor (nee Patton)
Joan passed away peacefully, with family by her side in Burlington, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Beloved wife of Max for 61 years. Loving mother of Peter (Danielle), Matthew (Debra) and Stephen (Sheri). Proud grandmother of Stephanie, Michael, Sydney, Gabrielle, Milla, Katy, Tyler and Elin. Dear sister of Hugh Patton (Margaret) and sister-in-law of Annemarie McIntyre (late Peter). Joan will be missed dearly by her family and close friends and those who knew her loving generous spirit, storytelling and humour. She was a Big Sister, supporter of the arts, a figure skating instructor as well as an avid golfer and bridge player.
The family is especially grateful for the loving care she received at The Carpenter Hospice and from the 3rd floor team at the Williamsburg Uptown Seniors Living Community in Burlington.
A private Service of Remembrance will be held. For those who wish to, in lieu of flowers in memory of Joan, donations to The Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
