Obituary for Sandra Lois Ferris (McLellan)
FERRIS, Sandra (nee McLellan) -
Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the age of 71. Dear wife of Fred Ferris. Loving mother of Daniel Ferris (Brandy John) and Jocelynn Szubrych (Mariusz). Devoted grandmother of Bryce, Kodye, Wesley, and Erin. Cherished sister of James McLellan, Joanne Nevin (Jim), and Faye Hamilton (Ross), and Walt McLellan (Jane). Sandra will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Sandra was a member of Shoreacres Bible Chapel in Burlington, and was involved in the community with the Burlington Public Library and the Halton Women’s Place. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333), on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 9:30am until the Service of Remembrance at 10:30am. Reception to follow at Shoreacres Bible Chapel (370 Shoreacres Road, Burlington). Private cremation has taken place. If desired, donations in Sandra’s memory to Heather or Joseph Frimpong missionaries in Ghana c/o Shoreacres Bible Chapel, Camp Li-Lo-Li c/o Shoreacres Bible Chapel, or the Inspirational Book Collection at the Burlington Public Library would be greatly appreciated by the family.
