GHELLER, Maria Pasqua (nee Pavan)
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, nonna and bisnonna on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the age of 92. She is now reunited with her husband, Virginio (2007). Beloved mother of Gianna (Marco) Oddi, Denis, and Robert (Julia). Devoted nonna to Mark (Diana), Robert, Diana (Joe), Ashley (Adam), Brandon (Molly), Braun (Ashley), and Daniel (Lindsay). Bisnonna to Thomas and Leo, Alessandro and Julian, and Maevey and George. Dear sister of Antonio (Lina). Predeceased by siblings Pierina (the late Noe) Carlesso, Luigi, Guido, Gino, Tullio (the late Angelina), Giuseppe, and Girolemo (the late Carmela). Dear sister-in-law of Cesira, Nori, Rina, Silvino (Vittorina), and Firmina. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Maria was happiest when gathered together with her family for dinners and special occasions. She was always so full of life and always shared a beautiful smile. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Extendicare. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday from 3-8 p.m. Prayer Vigil at 3:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery, Stoney Creek . In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
