Obituary for Giovanni Antonio "John" Paolini

Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the age of 82. Loved husband of Filomena (nee Fontana) for 57 years. Cherished father of Dina Urciuoli and Ralph Paolini (Sandra). Beloved nonno of Daniel, Eric, Dean, Kayla and Samantha. Loved brother of Sabina, Sabatino (the late Elvezia) and Rosario (Emma). Brother-in-law of the late Palmina (the late Querino), the late Nicola (survived by Emilia), Bambina (the late Fiore), Angela (the late Italo) and the late Tony Fontana (survived by Linda). Predeceased by his parents Berardino and Raffaela Paolini. Predeceased also by his parents-in-law Carmine and Albina Fontana. Giovanni will be deeply missed by many friends and family. The greatest joys of his life were his family, friends, garden and animals. We were all so fortunate to have such a wonderful man in our lives. He was pure love and he will live on in all of us. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil at 4:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934 Highway #8, Winona on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
