A Life Story;

"Denise was born in Lancashire in 1951 to Val and Roger Wilkinson, growing up with twin sister Joanne and older brother Roger. Denise lived in Canada, England and briefly in Hong Kong, before meeting her husband Michael and settling in England. Married in 1982, Denise and Michael had two children: Lindsey and Carl. Denise worked as a secretary for the Australia-New Zealand Bank, Government of Ontario, and British Telecom. Denise and her family moved to Canada in 2003.
Denise will be remembered as an extremely kind, generous, and loving person; she will be dearly missed by her entire family: husband Michael, children Carl and Lindsey (Ryan), twin sister Joanne (James), and nephew Michael, along with all her friends."


Passed away peacefully at home in Burlington, on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at the age of 64. Beloved wife of Michael for 33 years. Loving mother of Lindsey Winterboer-Topp (Ryan), and Carl Winterboer. Denise will be dearly missed by twin sister, Joanne Wilkinson-Burghall (James), nephew Michael Wilkinson, and brother Roger Wilkinson. Predeceased by her parents Roger and Mina Wilkinson. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 12 noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 PM. Reception to follow. For those who wish, donations in memory of Denise to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
