Obituary for Wray Best
Wray passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital Burlington at the age of 90. Loving father of Barbara (John) of Rockwood, Ontario. Wray was predeceased by the love of his life Dorothy and sisters Lona and Norma, survived by his brother Kenneth. He will be deeply missed by grandchildren, Michael and Lauren (Chris) and great grandchildren Brent, Finley, CJ, Kalli and Devon.
Wray first came to Canada in 1946 from England to escort his aunt, a war bride. He returned to England where he met Dorothy. They married in 1950. In 1957 they emigrated to Canada with their young daughter Barbara where they made a life in Oakville.
A Memorial Gathering with friends and family will be held at a later date, when times allow. For those who wish, donations to Canadian Alzheimer's Society in Wray's memory would be sincerely appreciated.
