Obituary for Winifred Beck (Kent)

Winifred Beck
July 19th, 1932 - January 1st, 2021

Suddenly, in the presence of her devoted daughter, Winifred Beck passed away on January 1st, 2021. Born in West Ham, London, England, a Canadian resident since 1979. Ever loving Mother of Jenette Dren (Branko), affectionately known as Nan to grandchildren Lisa, Michael and Great Nan to Sequoia and Nova. Survived by son Steven Beck (Debbie), granddaughter Jenna (Eric), great grandchildren Henry and Beatrice and grandson Ryan (Amy), family and friends in England and Canada. Special thanks to John, June and Madeline for their years of close friendship, support and daily telephone calls. She was a lover of all creatures, chef of the best oven roasties and eggy toast, grower of prize-winning dahlias, soprano in the Burlington Senior’s Choir, cat lover (Tinkie), skeptic, feisty old bird and lifelong gardener. Throughout her life, Winifred gave unselfishly to her family and friends. Family near and far meant the world to her. Cremation has already taken place. Due to current Covid restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with those who knew and loved her. If so desired, memorial donations to Animal Aid Burlington, Burlington/Oakville Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Her loving presence will be sorely missed by many but memories of her will be cherished. May she rest in peace.
