About 20 years ago, we answered our doorbell in Calgary, and a nice gentleman at the door said "Do you know the Cassons?". It was my Uncle Ted completely surprising us with a visit. I still remember my visit to the cottage about 50 years ago. Wonderful place and they let me drive the boat. I hit a rock and broke the pin and had to be rescued.

Ken and I remember our friend Ted for so many reasons.....knowledge of so many, birds, wildlife and carpentry. Ted modified our washstand to accommodate a large basin, a treasured piece from Ken’s late wife, Isobel. Beautiful workmanship so carefully executed. We remember the Grey Cup get togethers and Ted’s endless patience with this writer’s confusion on how to pick a winner from the confusing grid of choices. We miss you Ted and are richer for your caring friendship.
