Bill was part of a senior group of IBMers who provided role models and mentoring for the "youngsters" coming into IBM, as it soared in the sixties and seventies.
As one of those "kids", I was in awe of these quiet men in their dark suits, white shirts and years of experience.
Bill was special in his quiet ways and warm smile.
I spent 50 years at IBM but the early days with the Bill(s)...Potts, McNair, Lloyd..and others, will always be ones most memorable.
Condolences to the Potts family from Nova Sparks and myself.
