Obituary for Victoria Lilian "Vicki" Rickard (Snell)
RICKARD, Victoria “Vicki” Lilian (nee Snell)
May 11, 1946 – Aug 23, 2022
Vicki passed with her friends and family by her side at Joseph Brant Hospital on Tuesday, August 23rd at the age of 76 after a long struggle with cancer. Devoted mother of Lesley (Corey) and Kevin (Mandy); proud Grandma to Hailey, Charlotte, Leah, and Phoebe; dear sister of Angie (John) Southall and admired aunt of Fiona Berner and David Turner.
Prior to her diagnosis, Vicki was healthy and active. She took pride in her role as a member, instructor, and leader of the Taoist Tai Chi Society for many years in Markham and Burlington. She was an avid hiker and loved long walks on the Bruce trail with friends and family. She also loved to travel and visited many parts of the world and had hoped to continue as soon as the pandemic would allow. Finally, Vicki always kept a lovely garden and enjoyed watching the birds and other creatures that visited her birdfeeder at her homes.
While over the last several months she was no longer able to do some of the things she enjoyed, she was always available to help her children and grandchildren whenever she was called upon. She will be deeply missed.
A service will be held in the middle of October, for more details please contact the family.
