With family by his side at The Carpenter Hospice on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Eileen Hempey (Mickey McGuckin). Loving father of Laura Birkett (Mark), Tom Hempey (Tamara), Mark Hempey, and Tara Hempey. Proud grandfather of Kaylee (Mike), Luke (Jade), Jacob, and Mary Kathleen (Dave), Keenan, Keessa, and Keejana. Survived by his brother Paul Hempey (Diane). Predeceased by his brothers; Ernie, John and Walter Hempey. Tom will be remembered for his great sense of humour by his many, many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and loving pets, Clancy and Magoo.
