Died peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy battle with cancer in his 75th year on November 29, 2017. Loving husband to Margaret. Caring father to Lorna, Andrew, John, the late Donna "Zoe", Judy, John, Stephen and Jennifer and doting grandfather to many. His ability to fix anything and sarcastic wit will be dearly missed by family and friends at The Windsor Star, the Hamilton Spectator and STANPAC Industries, Smithville.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 12pm until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1p.m. Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, donations to Carpenter Hospice or the Canadian Red Cross would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
