Passed away peacefully at Carpenter House Hospice on Friday March 06, 2020 at the age of 93 after a long fight with Liver Cancer. Beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Slavik) for 66 years. Loving father of Darlene, Joe, Brian, and Marian. Grandfather of Veronica, Teresa, Christina, Jamie, Michelle, Nicole, Steven, Charlene, Stephanie, and Eric. Great Grandfather of Audrina and Savannah. Steven worked for Ford Motor Company starting in Windsor and retiring from the Brampton Plant. In addition to his love of cars he also was a fan of poetry and always seemed to have a poem (or a story) ready for any occasion. His faith was always a central part of his life and helped him and his family over the last several months. The family would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Carpenter House Hospice. Visitation will take place at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant St, BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Monday March 9 from 3 - 5 PM and 7 - 9 PM. Tributes will be taking place beginning at 7:30 PM, followed by Rosary and Vigil Prayers. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Mary Mother of God Parish (2745 North Ridge Trail, Oakville) on Tuesday March 10 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Glen Oaks Cemetery.
