Obituary

Bogoslowski/Storoschuk, Stella (nee Dykun)

Passed away peacefully in Hamilton on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her first husband Peter Storoschuk (1978). Stella found love again with her husband Alexander Bogoslowski for 40 years. Loving mother of David Storoschuk (Lisa), and step-mother of Linda Lipsitt (Rick), Marilyn Strinich (Peter), Barbara Wallace (Rob) and Michael Bogoslowski (Joanne). Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Stella gave to her community and church, and was a past president of the Catholic Women's League of St. Nicholas Parish. She will be fondly remembered by her friends as a professional bingo dabber, touring and winning at the local bingo halls. Stella's family meant everything to her. She always made sure that everyone was together around the dinner table. She was a witty lady with a contagious laugh whose humour left everyone around her smiling. Special thanks to all the staff at Arbour Creek Nursing Home for their compassionate care. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection, 821 Upper Wentworth Street, Hamilton on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family. www.smithsfh.com

I was at work in Vietnam when I was sorry to hear the sad news from my dad that Stella passed away. I remember happy Christmas's at her and Al's house. Her unique voice I can still hear in my ears when she was wishing me happy birthday on Chrismas Eve when I was there. She was a lovely lady and will be missed.
God bless Stella, I'm thinking about you
