CORRIGAN, Silvana “Vana” Sidonia (nee Stephenson)
Passed away with family by her side at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton in Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 62. Devoted and loving wife of John Corrgian for 38 years. Cherished mother of Maria Corrgian (Nick Bateman) and proud grandmother of Chase Bateman. Dearly missed by siblings late Jimmy, late Daniella, late Maria, Louis, Dave, Bobby, Nadia and their families. Vana will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and the extended Stephenson and Corrigan families in Canada, Italy and the UK. Special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and caregivers for their kindness, compassion and exceptional care provided to Vana during this difficult time. As per her wishes, Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 4-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Guelph Line Chapel beginning at 10:30am. Reception to follow at the Piper Arms Pub (4155 Fairview St Unit 1, Burlington), beginning at 12:00 noon. Private Cremation to be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Vana to the following Go Fund Me Page would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
