Obituary

Ryan Raymond Whey
August 9, 1995- August 7, 2019

Ryan sadly passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday August 7, 2019. Survived by his loving parents, Caroline and Lloyd, brother Chris and sister Jacklyn. Ryan was a free spirit with a passion for the outdoors. He seeked out adventure whenever possible. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and traveling to Newfoundland to visit family and friends. His laughter, his smile and his charming personality will forever be in our hearts. His words of wisdom and spirituality will always be a part of our memories. He was a sensitive and beautiful soul that always gave so much love to all his family and friends. Survived by his grandparents; Maria and John Felten, aunts and uncles; Ingrid (Ian), Joyce (Garry), Kevin (Michelle), Paul (Phyllis). Survived by his grandmother, Bride Whey, grandfather, Uriah Whey (predeceased). Aunts and uncles, Marion (Tommy), Sandra (Tim), Dwayne (Lee-Ann), Shawn (predeceased) (Gwen). Ryan will be truly missed by all his cousins, extended family and friends.

I am so sorry. It is August 14th. I just found out this happened. I am crying as I right this. I am sure you are all in shock as am I and our whole family wishes you our deep felt prayers that he goes to a better world and that you will be supported and loved with all the kindness and compassion that you have aptly demonstrated throughout your lives as wonderful citizens of this planet.

Word has reached me that one of my former playmates from the little cul-de-sac community has passed. I am saddened to hear that Ryan is no longer with us. I am disappointed that I will not be able to attend today’s memorial, being out of province at the moment. He will live in my mind through the memories of his boyish humour and those early neighbourhood wide games of man hunt. When I was the new kid on the block your family welcomed me into your home and I have not forgotten. I have seen many losses of late and offer my ear if anyone should like to talk. I add myself to what I’m sure is many offers of support and solace from your friends, family and neighbours.
Regards,
Brittany

We are deeply saddened to learn of Ryan’s passing. I remember him ripping around with the other rink rats while we watched Chris’s games. Our thoughts are with Lloyd, Caroline, Chris, Jacqueline, family and friends at this very difficult time. RIP Ryan. The Todd family
