Obituary for Ronald George "Ron" McConnell
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ron McConnell in his 79th year. Ron left us on Sunday, September 3rd, peacefully at home in Grimsby.
He was born and raised in Hamilton by his late parents Andrew and Marion McConnell. Ron retired from Stelco Steel as a crane Operator in 2006. Retirement was filled with family and the battle of Emphysema/COPD.
Ron was very proud of his family and although now gone, he will forever be missed. The footprints on our hearts will last a lifetime.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Betty (Margaret) McConnell of 51 years, daughter Andrea Emond (Elio), son Ryan McConnell and granddaughter Renee Emond.
In lieu of flowers, people should feel free to make a donation to the charity of their choice.
