Passed away peacefully at Wellington Park Care Centre in Burlington on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his son Randy and his siblings Joan (Jack) and Russel (Liz). Loving husband of Barbara Baxter for 40 years. Cherished father of Peggy (Dan), Brenda (Scott), Cheryl (John) and Wayne (Kym). Dear grandfather of Michele (Derrick), Kari, Tyler (Christie), Jennifer, Robert (Melanie), Matt (Jaime), Sarah (Jason), Kaitlynn (Justin), Allan (Anastasia), Adam and Brandon. Great grandfather of Lexus, Leah, Easton, Jordyn, Connor, Emma, Ethan, Rory and Mae. Brother of Pam, Helen (Jim), Barbara and Doug (Inez). Ron enjoyed a successful career at McGrath Transport for almost 40 years. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 12 – 1 p.m. with a Service of Remembrance at 1 p.m. followed by a Reception. Thank you to Inez for all your support as well as the nurses and doctors at Wellington Park. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to The Hamilton-Burlington SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
