Obituary for Roger Staunton Hamilton
HAMILTON, Roger Staunton –
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at The Brant Centre, Burlington, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Helen (nee Stanley) for 66 years. Predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Lillian, adored daughter Donna Lee Hamilton-Crabbe, brothers Keith and Lloyd and sister Mildred Hudson. Roger was born on December, 12, 1927. He and Dorothy lived in Ottawa and Montreal before retiring to Burlington. Roger retired from the Royal Bank after 45 years of service. He was President of Kiwanis Club in Mount Royal, Deputy Governor of Probus Club of Canada in Montreal and remained a member of the Royal Bank Alumni. He will be fondly remembered by his son-in-law Ronald Henry Crabbe (Leytha Miles), dear family friend Cathy Benoit, all of Burlington and sister Joan Hibbeln (Paul) of Edmonton. Thank you to the staff at The Brant Centre. Celebration of Life will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333), on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Alzheimer Society of Canada or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
