Obituary for Robert "Bob" Newton Watt

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bob Watt on Thursday February 18th, 2021 at the young age of 50. Bob was a very talented artist. He was a gifted and accomplished pianist and alumni of the Royal Conservatory Program. He spent 6 years dancing for the National Ballet School of Canada and went on to dance internationally.

Later in his career he dedicated his time to choreography and helping others realize their dreams. Even in the face of adversity, he led with this heart. He often referred to himself as a “starving artist” yet still managed to save enough to spoil his niece and nephew and donate to organizations like Sick Kids Foundation. He often sacrificed his own needs because making other people’s lives better was more important.

Bob was the cool uncle of Paige and Mack Rabeau, adored his sister Marion (Watt) Rabeau and predeceased parents Danny and Joan Watt. Bob will be missed by his brother-in-law Paul Rabeau, his extended family and many friends.

He is now free to dance again.
