Peacefully at age 82 at The Carpenter Hospice. Cherished father of Norman and Cathy (Greg Fraleigh) and loving grandfather of Julia, Brad, Liam, Sarah and the late Michelle (1998). Predeceased by his beloved companion Phyllis Jenson (2018). Missed greatly by his dear friend Nelly Bradley. Remembered fondly by first wife Karen Bosworth. Bob had a 60-year career with London Life where he made lifelong friends. He was immersed in community work and active in many organizations including Ducks Unlimited, Kappa Alpha, Ivy Business School, the Rotary Club of Burlington, HoliMont Ski Club and the Burlington Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed fishing at Long Point, skiing at Ellicottville, N.Y., duck hunting and golfing. He was a man of integrity, full of life and that life was full of friends. He is dearly missed. In memory of Bob, donations may be made to Community Living Burlington or The Carpenter Hospice. A celebration of life will be held at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club. Details will be available on the Smith’s Funeral Homes website.

The family of Phyllis Jenson wish to express our sincere condolences on the passing of Bob. We are both saddened and shocked . Bob has always been a huge part of our lives and we have shared many great memories with Bob and the rest of the family.
It was always a great time with Bob , from ski trips to Ellicottville, holidays in Florida, summer days at Smelsers Cove , golf and lunches at Bobs favorite golf - Burlington G&CC, to Bob playing Santa with his big green toy bag full of little gifts he picked up for everyone, back yard weddings...where Bob and Phil were the Beer Pong Champs, and of course Anna's surprise retirement party. Bob and Anna shared a special relationship and Bob said many time how lucky and thankful he was for all Anna did for he and Phyllis over the years. Bob and his larger than life presence will be truly missed. Rest in Peace Robert
Remembered with love: Anna and Phil, Mark and Patty, John and Joan Muir, aunt Joan and aunt Izzy, grand kids Ashley and Christian, Kyle, Cameron and Katie, Trevor and Brenda, Evan and Alannah and Bailey, along with great grand kids Rowan, Cullen, Kai, Levi, Eloise and Gavin.

My condolences to Bob's family. I had the pleasure of doing business with Bob at Bonnie Place. A shrewd businessman yet always a gentlemen and fun to be around.

Dear Cathy and Norman,
Your Dad was one of a kind. He was a wise mentor during my years as Regional Manager in the Oakville DSD Region. He had a big generous heart and such natural charisma; man of integrity and generosity. You must be so proud of him. I send my deep sympathy.
