It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert in Hamilton on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Sandra for 39 years. Loving and proud father of Daniel (wife Avalee Dowlath-Semenuk) and Stephanie Semenuk (John Sztuka). Loving brother of Louise Bergeron (husband Michael predeceased), James (wife Diane), late Thomas, Fredrick and Catherine (all predeceased) and Christine McDonald (husband Paul). Bob will be dearly missed by sisters-in-law Pat Lewis (husband Don), Judy Matthieu (husband Jim), brothers-in-law Glenn Gardner (Carol) and Ed Gardner (wife Lisa). Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by extended family and many friends. Bob dearly enjoyed and loved spending time with his family and was anticipating the arrival of his first grandson of Daniel & Avalee. He was a devout and active member of St. Eugene’s Parish. Bob retired after 30 dedicated years at Stelco. He had a zest for life and was an avid sports fan especially football, hockey and golf. He had a passion for music and mastered the art of playing acoustic and electrical guitar. He had a brilliant mind fluent in mathematics and statistics. He had a magnetic personality and was someone that could genuinely make you smile by his wit and charisma. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church, 232 Queenston Road, Hamilton on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 12 Noon. Cremation will follow.
