POIRIER, Rev. Daniel John
Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Evelyn for 49 years. Cherished father of Elizabeth Moran (Shannon) and Daniel Poirier (Kelly). Proud grandfather of Kailyn and Owen Poirier. Survived by his sisters Lois Stonely (Late James), Eleanor Hubley (Late Leon) and Aldyth Levy (Late David) as well as sister’s-in-law, Val, Joan and Micheline. Daniel will also be fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends. Predeceased by his brothers Edward, Stephen, Laverne, Rolf and Joshua.
Daniel was an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for 62 years and a beloved husband and father for 49 years. He spent 29 years as a high school teacher at Massey-Vanier High School in Cowansville, Quebec. He and his wife Evelyn have enjoyed living in Burlington, Ontario for the past six years. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church, 1401 Guelph Line, BURLINGTON on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 6-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Glad Tidings Church, 1401 Guelph Line, BURLINGTON, on Friday, February 14 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Glad Tidings Church would be greatly appreciated.
