Dear Joy,

Thank you for being the very special friend to me when I arrived in Toronto 42 years ago. It was very difficult for me to leave my family in the US and come to a city where I knew no one . You and Sheleagh Deuel took me under your wing and helped me adjust. You gave me so much support and love and when my daughter, Adrienne was born, you were right there to help me. I can never forget you extreme kindness and friendship You and Arthur were such an important part of our lives. We had lots of good times and lots and lots of laughs. Michael and I were so fortunate to meet your mother and Arthurs mothers and share many special times together. We were happy to be included in your 90th birthday party and more than delighted that Sandi bought you to Toronto not too long ago to have lunch in my new condo. We shall miss your smiling eyes and hope you are now together with Art in heaven. Rest in peace my friend Love, Arlene

With a broken heart and teary eyes I am sad to announce the passing of our family’s matriarch, Patricia “Joy” Titmarsh (nee Gerry)

Joy, affectionately known as Mama, GiGi or grama-swimming pool, left us all with memories of her chic sense of fashion, cheeky wit and martinis full of olives. She always knew how to keep me in line or she’d ‘fix my wagon’.

From the days of tuna sandwiches before daycare to the late night gin & 7 drenched visits, she was always there for me when I needed her.

Always dressed to the nine and ready for a party, you will forever be my guardian angel.

Rest in sweet peace Gram, I love you

Grama I remember we always use to bake shortbreads and rice crispy squares together. Remember that time we doubled the butter and they cookies were extra luxurious! Love you
