Obituary for Patricia "Patty" Anne DiFrancesco

DiFrancesco, Patty (nee Valvasori)

After a three year struggle with pancreatic cancer, Patty passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her parents, Basil and Phyllis, her in-laws, Louie and Lydia and her nephews Michael and Joseph Valvasori. Patty will be missed by her husband of 51 years, Phil and her sons and their wives, Dean and Angela, and Bryan and Natascha. Her greatest joy was time spent with them and with her grandchildren Luca, Lucy, Alex, Eva and Vincent. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and an extraordinarily fun grandmother. Her family will miss her wit, her competitiveness and her zest for life. Sister to Margaret and Kim Mullin, Michael and Marnie, John and Sandra, Paul and Jean, and Mark and Bernice; and sister-in-law to Donna Martino, Linda and Mark Eckebrecht and Paul and Helen DiFrancesco. Patty was also blessed with many nieces and nephews as well as her special Ellicottville family, the Salvatori’s and O’Neill’s. Patty loved to teach math, travel, dance, ski and play tennis and she has maintained friendships from all of these activities. When she was diagnosed, she had several goals that she wanted to achieve and she met them all. She is forever grateful for her circle of friends who have been by her side for so many years but even more so since her diagnosis. Their love and support were instrumental in her being able to live for so long. Special thanks goes to her doctors and nurses and to her pharmacist, John Nardini for their amazing care.

As per Patty’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
