The family of Patricia Margaret McDonough are saddened to announce her passing at home on Tuesday, November 4, 2019 after a long journey with vascular disease. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Patricia was the loving daughter of the late Bernard and Anastasia (Burns) McDonough. She lived all of her adult life in Ontario. A graduate of Humber College, Patricia worked in various accounting positions, and spent many happy years as the Comptroller for Guide Dogs Canada. She was a loving mother of her two sons, Stephen (Amanda Tanner) and Brian Carman who are heart broken with the loss of their Mother. She was a doting grandmother to her three grandchildren, Lily Carman-Sabo, Cole and Beck Carman. Patricia will be dearly missed by her identical twin sister Ann (Bruce) Paterson and their children Ian and Stacey Paterson. She was predeceased by her brothers Kevin, Robert and Brian.
A visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ont. on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. The funeral mass is planned for November 12, 2019 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Rd., Burlington, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
