It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our dearest Pat who passed away at Victoria Village Manor, on Saturday, December 31, 2022, Pat's journey is now complete after 90 wonderful years. Reunited with her loving husband and soul-mate, Evan Lawrence Briand, who she was lovingly married to for 45 years, before his passing in 2003. Cherished mother to Kathryn (Todd) Russell of Barrie. Proud grandmother to Krissy, Kharlie, Katilynn (Ian) and great-grandmother to Abigail, Skylar, Riley and Carter. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Lillian Fillingham (Nee Key). Forever in the hearts of her many cousins across England. Pat was very proud to have graduated from Grace Hospital in 1955 and spent many years helping her community working at hospitals throughout Sudbury, Hamilton and Burlington. Pat may be gone from this world; however, she lives on in the stories and memories she has left with all those she touched during her lifetime. A big thank you to all the nurses and care staff at Victoria Village Manor - Kensington Floor for their years of care, special thank you to nurse Pivy who went over and above to ensure Pat was always looked after. As per Pat's wishes, and that of her family, a private cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday January 26, 2023 from 12-2pm.
