Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the age of 80 in Burlington. Beloved husband of Evangelia for 45 years. Cherished father of Dimitrios (Susana), Argyroula and Niki. Survived by his sisters Ageliki (Athanasios), Eleni and Konstantina (Haralambos). Predeceased by his father Dimitrios, his mother Georgia, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Nontas (Peter) immigrated to Canada from Greece in the 70’s. He owned and operated many successful restaurants. Nontas worked up until the end doing what he loved. Those who knew him will remember him for his outgoing personality, his sound advice and his quick wit. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at Joseph Brant ICU for the excellent care and comfort they provided.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Tuesday, March 14 from 5p.m. - 8 p.m. Prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated at Panagia - Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church (233 E. 15th St., Hamilton) on Wednesday, March 15 at 12:30 p.m. Interment at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
