Obituary for Nichole-Lyn Gehbauer

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the recent, sudden passing of Nichole-Lyn Gehbauer. A loving and generous person, Auntie “Nick” will be missed dearly by her nieces (Caysanie, Asia and Sophie) and nephews (Elijah, Luke and Lincoln). Over the course of her thirty-four years on the earth, "Neekole" was not only a beloved daughter to her parents, Lyn and Peter, but also a source of many laughs and mischief for her sisters, Monika (Ian), Stephanie, Cherry and Cherise. She is survived by her two fur babies, Bamboo and Bear, who find warmth and comfort in a family home but still look to the window for their mom’s return. She leaves behind uncles, aunts and cousins, whether found nearby or across the seas. She will be remembered fondly by her many good friends, including (but not limited to) Amber Powell, Erika and Elizabeth Godoy (Jean), Michelle Riendeau and Beverley Soloduk.

Nichole was known to make people laugh and loved to spoil her nieces and nephews - who are, and forever will be, the lights of her life.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 3 PM on Sunday, December 1st at Smith's Funeral Home (1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ontario). As Nichole was a vibrant individual capable of brightening up a room, we encourage guests to dress in bright, happy colours.

Nichole always sought to lessen the burdens of others. Thus, while flowers are a kind thought, we know that she would prefer for any money spent to be put towards donations to either the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (https://suicideprevention.ca/Donate) or the Canadian Mental Health Association (https://cmhasandbox.microsoftcrmportals.com/en/new-donation/).
