Obituary for Nellie "Lee" Dudding

Dudding, Nellie "Lee" (Nee Ewen)

Entered into the arms of her loving angel and husband Harold (1995) on Friday, April 22, at the age of 100. Lee will be missed by her devoted daughter Darlene and her beloved Colonel John. She will also be missed by nieces Carol, Pat and Virginia, and great nieces Karen, Nancy, Janie and Susan. Predeceased by her parents James and Jean Ewen. Lee and Harold moved from Hamilton to Ancaster, and eventually settled in Burlington in 1976. They enjoyed their trips to Venice, Rome, Hawaii and Mexico over the years. They loved their cottage in Port Elgin and enjoyed many years of entertaining friends and family. She loved her cards at Club 9 in Burlington, and could often be found watching the Blue Jays and the Tiger Cats games. She was even able to attend a Ticats game at the new Tim Horton's Field. She was famous for her roast beef, yorkshire pudding and homemade maple fudge. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Queens Garden LTC, especially Marie, Marcia, Teresa and Stephanie for being such great support for Lee's daughter, Darlene, during her time of need.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, April 27, at 12pm until the time of the Service at 1pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Interment at Hamilton Cemetery will follow. In honour of Lee's love for her dogs, Honey, Taffy and Bobbie, memorial contributions to the Hamilton/Burlington S.P.C.A or Brant Hill's Presbyterian Church would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
