Peacefully at the Village of Tansley Woods, Burlington on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Douglas Pettit. Loving mother of Krystle Stoneman and her husband Ed and Jeffrey “JD” Pettit and his wife Jill. Cherished grandmother of Abbey, Brooke, Jackson, Zachary and William. Myrna is survived by her mother Jean Scholtzhauer, siblings Bonnie Welch (John Simmons), Dale McDonald (Cathy) and sisters-in-law Linda McDonald, Jill Phalen, Janet McDonald and Jacqueline Sands. Predeceased by her father Gerald "Jack" McDonald, stepfather Alvin Scholtzhauer and siblings Murray, Gary, Allen, John and Linda. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the Village of Tansley Woods, Nelson Neighbourhood, for their care and compassion. As per Myrna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 5-8p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 1p.m. Reception to follow. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens at a later date. In memory of Myrna, those wishing to make a donation are asked to please consider Shriners Hospitals for Children.
