Passed away at St. Catharines General Hospital, on Monday, April 24, 2023, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Alberta Osier for 42 years. Loved father of Michelle Scap and Monique Osier Kadis (Justin) and step-father of Dean DeBastiani (Joyce), Diane DeBastiani (Michael Boland), Duane DeBastiani (Beth) and Don DeBastiani (Vikki). Loved and adored grandfather of Brett, Paige, Dean James, Drew, Maria, Ben, Gianna, Anna and Grace. Dear brother of Pat Fotheringham (Alex) and brother-in-law of Marcie Shaffer, John Horvath (Andrea), the late William Horvath and the late David Horvath. Uncle of Chris Fotheringham, Sherri Fotheringham and Linda Lou Rocco and many other nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Kay Osier (nee Hooker).

Mike served in the Navy for three years and was stationed in Victoria, B.C. He was an avid history buff and loved to travel with family and friends. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies right up until the fall of 2022. He retired from Dofasco as a Manager in 1992 and in his later years worked as a security guard at Brock University in St. Catharines.

Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
