Obituary for Mi Wha "Ester" Ahn
To our family and friends,
Our dearest mother, Ester Ahn, unfortunately passed away on June 6, 2021.
As you may be aware, our mother was battling a lot of illnesses over the past few years. She was a fighter and is now at peace.
Our mother was the kindest, most generous, and caring person we know. She was also brilliant, funny, and full of life. If you have a fond memory or a message you'd like to share, we encourage you to please write it on her Memory Wall.
We will be organizing visitation on Friday June 11. If you can attend, we ask that you please confirm your attendance directly below. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are only allowed 7 people per allotted time slots.
To all of our family and friends who are overseas, we are so sorry to have to bring you this news this way. We know you also loved our mom very much and that she can hear your thoughts and prayers.
Our family will be organizing a private service on Saturday at 1PM EST. It will be available as a live stream.
If you would like to send flowers, we recommend that you select potted plants (i.e. Orchids). Our mother always joked about how temporary flowers can be and that how we as a family were never great at taking care of them.
We are also accepting donations for Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in our mother's name. The doctors and nurses have played an important role in our mother's care. They continued to go above and beyond their duties, even when she was admitted at other hospitals. We are eternally grateful for everything they have done.
