Obituary for Melvin H. Dunn
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Melvin Dunn announce his passing on Monday April 23, 2023 in his 87th year in Hanover, Ontario.
Melvin is predeceased by his wife Catherine. Caring father to Charles (Shirley), Greg (Gianfranco), Theresa, and Melanie. Loving grandfather and great-grandfather, uncle and great-uncle.
Predeceased by his parents Dorothy (nee Godfrey) and William Dunn, his brother Vernon, and his sister Vera. Melvin is survived by his remaining sister Maureen Iles (nee Dunn).
Melvin worked for Bell Canada for almost 40 years before retiring to drive school bus for Attridge for 14 years.
He loved to share his stories, play cards, read, and watch the birds at his birdfeeders.
Melvin’s family would like to thank Dr. Susan Batten, Dr. Rachel Kiefer, Dr. Courtney Mellish, the unit 1 nurses at Hanover Hospital, the Care Partners team 3 nurses, and other staff. The care and support that they provided was incredible.
