Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 10, 2020. Beloved Husband to Colleen. Loving father to Marie-Sjaan (Jason). Adoring Opa to Jackie who he loves so much. He will be deeply missed by brother-in-laws Wayne and Jimmy, sister-in-laws Francine and Maggie, sisters Barbara and Trix, brother Henk and a list of friends too long to list. Pre-deceased by his siblings An, Aad, Dit, Jan, Nel, Wouter, Ernst, Dirk, and Jeannet.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday January 15, 2020 from 6 - 8 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at St Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church (2265 Headon Road, Burlington) on Thursday January 16, 2020 at 11 am. A reception will follow the mass in the church hall. For those who wish, donations in memory of Matt to Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
