It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of their matriarch, Maria Nikitin (nee Rusanov). Maria was predeceased by her husband George, her parents Gregory and Ekaterina Rusanov, her sister Antonina and her brother Nickolai. She will be sorely missed by her sons, Alex (Nadya) and Paul (Pui) and her daughters Deana (Ross) and Tania. She is survived by six grand children, George, Katya, Cait, Taylor, Palmer and Kira. She loved them all very much. Her greatest joy were her two great grand daughters Alexis and Ashley. The family would like to thank the staff of Alexander Place in Waterdown for their thoughtful and compassionate care. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Panachyda at 7:30p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:30a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
