My fondest memories of Mom was just spending quality times together, like the times we would travel up to see Jackie in Greely in Ottawa and we all went to see the Mounties Musical ride and then had one of the Mounties tap her on the shoulder and say to her "Can you please come we me" Mom turned and thought she was being arrested and the whole time I was laughing and giggling inside. When I told mom it was just a set up she laughed and I snapped a picture of her with this handsome fellow on her side. It was a memory of a fun time that I will never forget. "Thank you mom for all that you have done for us - We're going to miss you a lot" Love you mom

For my birthday my mom asked me what I wanted and I said I wanted to take her and my sister camping. We arrived and set everything up had a great BBQ dinner over wood coals and when it was time for bed, mom was not comfortable with the sleeping arrangement which saw her in the van on an air mattress, well a little air had escaped and she was like a hot dog in bun. We then found a comfortable spot for her in the mess tent and my sister and I heard pop can rattling all night and wondered what mom was doing. We went in the mess tent to find mom fast asleep with racoons all about her and they were in the midst of pulling the birthday cake under the tend wall. We woke mom up and asked her if she knew what was happening and she thought it was my sister and I poking her. We eventually convinced mom to come and sleep in the tent and the best way to describe what unfolded was mom had difficulty getting in and basically fell back ward on the air mattress bounced and was in a perfect position for the night. It will be a cherished memory of fun and adventure as the racoons returned during the night. Love you mom

It was truly a delight to get to know Mary, my mom Marie Miland's dear friend, down in Florida for so many winter visits. No matter how exciting or mundane the day or activity Mary brought a positivity to it that was so refreshing and made everyone smile. One winter when I brought my daughter and her six friends down Mary generously had them all over for dinner and insisted that I not come but take a break - so thoughtful! Such a lovely woman, a great friend to my mom and a great model for choosing to be happy and grateful for life!

As the first born,Mary “paved” the way for her younger siblings in many ways.By the time I came along,I didn’t have to fight our father re wearing make-up etc.
Her loyalty to family, her generosity and kindness will be remembered.
May the arms of family who have gone before her, welcome her!
