Slipped away peacefully at the age of 93 surrounded by family at Joseph Brant Hospital on Saturday June 22, 2019. Our mom enjoyed a life well lived, often times to the absolute maximum. As a former teacher she would have told us to watch our punctuation and spelling in this obit and to make sure it was submitted on time. She greatly missed our late father Dan (Dennis) who has been enjoying post life bachelorhood but who would gladly give that up to welcome the love of his life back into his arms. Mary was a mother of 4 to Michael (Deborah), Brian (Leslie), Dennis and Nancy. Grandmother of 6 to Ashley (Brian), Jonathan, Jeremy, Samantha, Alexandra and Mikayla. Great grandmother of 2 to Felix and Royal. The memories of Mary's spirit, her witty sense of humour and deep sense of caring for all people and animals truly endeared her to everyone she met. As a parting note Mary would have said don't get all weepy over this and don' t forget to feed the dogs and cats. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 12 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to any local Humane Society would be appreciated.
