Peacefully at Cama Woodlands, her home away from home, on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the age of 93. Wife of the late Hendrik Stenekes “Henry” (2008). Loving mother of Nancy (Brian), Dianne (David), Allison (the late Tom), Kathy (Dave), David (Darlene) and the late Jim (2007). Cherished grandmother of Jay, Jeff, Kristen, Michael, Adam, Jacob, Leah, Stephanie, Jill, Rachel, Katie, Davey, Shane and Kyle and great grandmother of 19. Beloved sister of the late Everett Green. Special thank you to the staff of Cama Woodlands for their tender care and compassion. As per Marie’s wishes, a funeral service in celebration of her life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 2458 St. Frances Drive, Burlington on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11a.m. Reception to follow. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. In memory of Marie, donations to the SPCA would be sincerely appreciated.
