Passed away at Strathcona Long Term Care, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, the Lord took to Himself Maria Vandewaal of Burlington, age 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Walter Vandewaal. Dear mother of Elizabeth "Ruby" Vandewaal of Palmerston, Ontario and Mary-Ellen and her husband James Nichols of Liberty Hill, Texas. Proud grandmother to Caitlin (Will) Van Meer, Courtney (Chris Boehm) Vandewaal and James Nichols Jr. Sister of Dick DeKorte, Corrie Janson, and Peter DeKorte, all of the Netherlands, and the late Nell Koenen, Mien Schenkel, Matijs DeKorte and Geert Vink.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of the QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday May 5, 2023 from 9-10am followed by a Funeral Service at 10am.
