Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital on Friday, July 9th 2021 at the age of 93. Maria joins her beloved husband John in heaven. Maria will be deeply missed by her niece Anna Salyk, her husband Bogdan and their children Sonia (Mike Derubeis), Larysa, and Kalyna; Sonia’s children Julia, Steven & Maria as well as Maria’s sister Julia and all her family in Poland and the Ukraine.
Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant St (one block north of City Hall) on Monday, July 12th 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Panachyda at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church at 300 River Oaks Blvd. East, Oakville on Tuesday July 13th at 10:00 AM. Please RSVP through Smith’s website at www.smithsfh.com
