Passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the age of 80. Loving wife to the late Gaetano of 41 years. Cherished mother to Mina (Mike) Ermacora, and Roberto (Rose) Ciardelli. Dear grandmother to Christian, Julian, Adrian, Sophia, and Kira. Beloved sister to Guiseppina (Carlo) DiPietro, Emidio (Palma), Pasquale (Antonietta), Pietro (Giovanna), and the late Mario (Giovanna) Angelini; and sister-in-law to the late Eva (Govanni) Nardini, the late Felice Ciardelli, Rita (Dino) Serafini, and Marcella Ciardelli. Maria will also be greatly missed by all her nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Despite her physical limitations she was always ready for a game of cards with friends and cheated her way to victory. "Fai il segno della croce e va con il nomo de Dio mama." Oh, bye Mary.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
