Beloved wife of the late Tom Grandison. Marguerite was born in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, September 5, 1938 and died in Burlington, Ontario on November 15, 2019. The eldest of six children born to Roy and Lucy Earle, her untimely death is mourned by her dear sisters and brothers, Marina in California, Robert in British Columbia, James in Nova Scotia, Roy in Newfoundland and Andrea in Florida. Marguerite’s varied career paths lead her into nurse’s training, a stint in the Women’s Division of the RCAF in the late 50’s, some time as a federal government employee and finally with the City of Burlington Clerk’s Department from which she retired in 1995. For many years Marguerite was a permanent fixture at Tyandaga Golf Course, caddying for her husband Tom. Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held in St. Elizabeth’s Anglican Church (5324 Bromley Rd, Burlington) on Tuesday, November 26 at 10:30 a.m., with a reception to follow in the Church Hall. Interment of the ashes of both Tom and Marguerite will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Please express your sympathy with a donation to the charity of your choice. (Arrangements entrusted to Smith’s Funeral Home, Burlington 905-632-3333).
