Peacefully at Freeport Site for Palliative Care, Grand River Hospital on the 10th of November, 2019. Margaret Penrose, formerly of Burlington and Dundas, passed away in her 98th year. Predeceased by her siblings Iris, Gerald, Basil and Ross Henshaw, her first husband John S. Hyde, their infant son John Wayne Hyde and her second husband Frederick V. Penrose. Loving mother of Iris Biggs (Richard) of Waterloo and John Hyde (Vivian) of St. George. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as the families of Fred Penrose’s 2 sons; Don (Sharon) and the late William (Lynda). She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5-8p.m. and Friday, November 15, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of a funeral service in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment Grove Cemetery, Dundas. In memory of Margaret, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Grand River Hospital would be sincerely appreciated.
