Obituary for Margaret Mary Rebecca Parr (Clarkson)
PARR, Margaret Mary Rebecca (nee Clarkson)-
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton, on Friday, April 20, 2018 just shy of her 95th birthday. Reunited with her beloved husband, Rev. Dr. Jewitt Parr (2016). Loved Mom of Virginia Swain, Rev. Robert Parr (Sandy), Mark Parr (Lesia), Christine Parr (late Bruce Dobie), and Pamela Stoddart (Ross). Cherished Grandma and Great-Grandma of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings, Irwin Clarkson, Betty Roy and Grant Clarkson. Margaret was an exemplary Minister’s Wife, serving alongside her husband for over 50 years of ministry in the United Church. She brought her gift for music wherever she went. Private Cremation and Interment to take place. Visitation at Port Nelson United Church, 3132 South Drive (at Rossmore), Burlington on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 12 noon until time of Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at the church. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret to Port Nelson United Church – Music Program would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
