Obituary for Margaret Elizabeth McCallum
McCALLUM, Margaret Elizabeth
March 23, 1946 – December 27, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sister Margaret after a brave battle with cancer. She will be fondly missed by her two sisters, Cathy (Dave) and Susan. Predeceased by her sister Jeannie (Kathryn) in 2014 and her brother Duncan in 2016. Beloved aunt to James (Demian), Kevin (Melody), Mark (Lara) and Amanda (Bryan) and grand-aunt to Emily and Malcolm. For forty years Margaret was a dedicated and much respected social worker with the Children’s Aid Society, 35 of those years with the Halton agency. She will always be remembered for her love of fine cuisine and cooking, especially for family and friends, often showcasing new recipes. She enjoyed travel, theatre, ballet, art galleries and high teas & lunches with the girls. Her nephews and nieces have especially fond memories of a very loving, kind and generous aunt. Cremation has taken place and a Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
