It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our dearest Manny who passed away at his home in Burlington, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the age of 82. Devoted husband to Elly Koch (nee Batke) whom he has been lovingly married to for 56 wonderful years. Cherished father to Tanya (Bohdan) Katolyk of Burlington and Jeremy Koch of Burlington. Always remembered by his siblings Hilde (Oswald) Gerl, Willie (Tillie) Koch and Lillie (Gerd) Reimann. Forever in the hearts of his nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Johannes and Otilia Koch (nee Gross) as well as his sister Olympia (the late Berthold) Gerl. Manny may be gone from this world; however, he lives on in the stories and memories he has left with all those he touched during his lifetime. As per Manny's wishes, and that of his family, a private cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday February 25, 2024 from 12-1p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on the same day at 1p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Multiple Myeloma Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
