Lynda Toomer (Nee Wetmore)

It is with profound sadness and heart break that the family of Lynda Toomer announces her passing on August 9, 2019 at The Carpenter Hospice with her family by her side, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Cherished mother and best friend "My Louie" to Laura Toomer and Michael "Mike" Toomer (predeceased). Beloved wife to the late Raymond "Ray" Toomer. Loving sister and sister in law to Bette Watts-Duke, Bill and Sue Wetmore, and Audrey and Martin Wagner. Caring aunt and great aunt to several nephews and nieces in British Columbia and Ontario. Lynda will be greatly missed by her family and a life time of many friends and friendships. Lynda touched the lives of all she met, especially with her kindness, quick wit and incredible sense of humour. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will take place at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday August 14, 2019 from 3pm - 5pm. An Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy to The Carpenter Hospice, Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A very special thank you to all of Lynda's doctors and nurses, especially all the amazing staff at The Carpenter Hospice and Joseph Brant Hospital for their wonderful care. A Heartfelt thank you to all friends and family for the outpouring of love and support during Lynda's painful and Heart Breaking journey these last few months.

So sorry for your loss. Lynda was a sweet soul. We loved every time she came into our store to do her demonstrating. All the staff loved her. I loved all our chats. We would talk about our families and she would always inquire about my kids. Always with a smile and always offering a candy. Hard to believe that we will not see her again. Deepest condolences to your family. Such a hard time for you but now that she touched a lot of lives. With love , Christina Walker

My Dear Laura, I am so shocked and saddened to learn of your Mom's passing. Seems like only yesterday I met her in Shoppers Drug Mart, and as usual, we had a good giggle, just like old times. We had promised each other to meet for lunch.
We had such good times when she worked at Pause Awhile. I feel very sad.
Laura, you have now lost your Mom, Dad and Mike, my heart aches for you.
Please accept my sincere condolences, I will never forget her, how could I, she has left so many happy memories with me.
Memories of Love and Friendship are treasures I will hold on to forever. You will be in my thoughts every step of the way.
Youbare in my thoughts, my heart and my prayers. Margaret Robertson , and family.

Dear Laura: My heart breaks for you. Your mom was one of a kind. She helped me grow as a person and taught me that we can embrace and enjoy life even though we will also have to deal with loss and disappointment. May your happy memories sustain you in the months and years ahead. With much love, Mary Ann Baynton
