Obituary for Lucia Linda Bitondo

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved Lucia Linda Bitondo on June 2, 2021. Lucia will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Mary Andrisani (Joe), Edward Bitondo (Donna), Antonella Bitondo, and Victoria Blackmore (Adam); nieces and nephews Vincent Andrisani (Maggie MacAulay), Vito Andrisani (Sandra Moore-Andrisani), Angela Bitondo Woods, David Bitondo (Amanda Leggatt), Matthew and Mitchell Blackmore; and great nieces and nephews Alessandro and Kaia Woods, Bennett, Connor, and Taeya Bitondo, and Ethan and Niko Andrisani. Lucia was predeceased by her parents, Vito and Filomena Bitondo. Lucia was born in Welland, ON, in 1957. She moved to Toronto in the late 1970s, graduated from Humber College, and built a successful career in the travel industry beginning at Alba Tours. She was the jewel of Pearson International Airport, a staple in Toronto's nightlife community during the 1980s, and positively impacted the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Lucia was a radiant person who lived life to the fullest. Whether at a family gathering, get togethers with friends, or one of her legendary parties at home or abroad, Lucia always made everyone feel special and included. She truly was one in a million and will be dearly missed by colleagues, her many friends, and her family around the world. A private family ceremony will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Welland at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in her name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Toronto PFLAG.
